Fair360 benchmark data reveal a striking difference between organizations with structured sponsorship and those without it. In top-performing sponsorship environments, sponsees are promoted at rates more than 9 percentage points higher than the overall workforce — representing nearly a fivefold greater promotion lift than that observed for mentoring participants. In organizations without structured sponsorship, promotion velocity for potential candidates is dramatically lower, and representation symmetry gaps are nearly four times wider than in top-performing sponsorship systems.
